Room On The Broom Review From Franchisee Alex

Alex From Jigsaw Bexleyheath Visited The Theatre To See Room On The Broom!
Our Franchisee Alex, Manager at Jigsaw Bexleyheath, took her 3-year-old daughter Harmony to see the much loved Julia Donaldson book Room On The Broom brought to life at the Lyric Theatre in the West End.
The show is recommended to children aged 3 and up and with a running time of an hour in total, with no intermission, it is the perfect introduction to the theatre for young children.
“The show had everything! For fans of the book, the story remains completely intact with fantastic songs added in to enhance the already brilliant story line. Harmony loved all of the songs, especially the Frog’s which was accompanied by incredible dancing by the two puppeteers! There was even some audience participation which all the children, and even the adults, in the audience got involved in.”
Alex was a bit concerned that her daughter Harmony might be scared of the roaring dragon when it came onto the stage but to a positive surprise it was handled brilliantly and was not at all scary for the children.
“While aimed at children there was plenty for the adults to enjoy as well and we all had a brilliant day out and it was a fantastic first trip to the theatre for Harmony!”
Overall, Alex would highly recommend Room On The Broom, especially for a first theatre trip. “It was a fun-filled afternoon with lots of laughs and a fantastically talented cast!”
Room On The Broom will be playing at the Artsdepot in North London from the 22nd-27th of October and again in Tunbridge Wells from the 9-10th of March next year. Be sure to look out for tickets if you are thinking of introducing your little one to live theatre performances!
