Last week, Jigsaw Arts student Harry Pendakis received tickets to see Peaceful Lion’s brand new family production of Orion And The Dark at Jacksons Lane, London. The show (which is based on Emma Yarlett’s illustrated children’s book of the same name) is currently on a UK tour.
Four year-old Harry (who is also due to join the Jigsaw Agency) was given the chance to write a review for publication on our blog. Here are his thoughts on the show:
“I went with to see the show at Jacksons Lane with my Mum and my sister, and I really enjoyed it.
The Dark was my favourite character because he does magic and my favourite moment was when they went to the moon.
The set is fantastic. The stage looks like a real bedroom and the bed is a bit messy.
The costumes are also really colourful, and I really liked the snowflakes on Orion’s costume”
I think it’s safe to say that Harry thoroughly enjoyed Orion And The Dark. The show’s next stop is Canada Water on 5th March, then it’s off to Didcot and Southampton before returning to London for a performance at The Arts Depot in Finchley. The tour then continues right the way through to May, finishing at the Brighton Fringe.
You can visit Peaceful Lion’s homepage for further information, and don’t forget to take a look at Jacksons Lane’s website for information on a wide array of shows aimed at children and their families.
