What was it like working with the Welsh National Opera?
From audition through to the final stage production, Orla had a fantastic experience working with the Welsh National Opera (WNO). She has been supported all the way and given the confidence to perform on the Millenium Centre stage! The chaperones and other artists have been so positive meaning she never questioned her ability to do it.
Orla has had a full experience of make-up, wig fitting and all the other behind the scenes work that it takes to put on a production. Alongside everything she has had to learn about her part, she’s come home with an understanding of the orchestra and the genre of opera, and emulating the conductor and opera stars.
At only 5 years old Orla is now an opera fan; so it has been a unique entry route to something more traditionally seen as accessible for adults only!
